Check PDF accessibility in an
automated and scalable way

Checking/validation of PDFs for accessibility
can be done one file at a time - for example with:

axesSense builds on the same trusted
checking routines as PAC, but allows you to
check large numbers of documents
automatically and at scale.

Unlike PAC, axesSense requires a
license key (API Key) from axes4.

axesSense is available in two editions:

Runs on your infrastructure as a local web service.

If you use the .NET platform,
you can also integrate axes4 Matterhorn checks
directly into your own software by using
the axesSense SDK.

General note:

For a final accessibility assessment, however,
further checks are required that only a human
can perform; for example, whether the sequence of
elements is correct, the tags correspond to the visually
recognizable semantics, or alternative texts adequatel
reflect the core message of an image.

  However, this is not tested by axes4.
  Please contact us if you want to
  run axesSense on Linux.

Software

• axesSense On-Premise is provided as a ZIP file.
  You can unpack the ZIP file and copy it to
  a suitable location on your server.
